Collector's Dinner

Please join us for an elegant evening of art, wine, cuisine and conversation in Balboa Park's "Jewel Box of Art." Gather with friends and journey inside the world of visionary arts leader and former San Diego resident Don Bacigalupi. Guests will enjoy a gourmet meal and wine pairing curated by nationally recognized Pamplemousse Grille, followed by a lively conversation with Bacigalupi, who will provide highlights of his experiences with the newly-formed Lucas Museum, the Glass Pavilion and Crystal Bridges. With more than 25 years in innovative museum management, collection and exhibition development and educational programming, Bacigalupi has created pioneering institutions in the collection, presentation, and exploration of art. Most recently, Bacigalupi served as the Founding President for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, now under construction in Los Angeles. Previously he was President and Executive Director of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, where he led all aspects of the museum’s planning, development, and construction leading to its opening in 2011. Earlier, Bacigalupi served as President, Director, and CEO of the Toledo Museum of Art, where he oversaw the construction and opening of its world-renowned Glass Pavilion. He previously served as the Executive Director of the San Diego Museum of Art and the Blaffer Museum of Art.
