Lecture: Russian Icons at the Timken

About the Lecture: The Timken Museum's collection of Russian icons is among the oldest and most interesting in the United States. This talk situates the Timken's icons within the context of American collecting and reveals new research on the provenance of some of its most important icons. 

About the Speaker: Dr. Salmond is a scholar of Russian and early Soviet art, architecture, and design. She has written and lectured extensively on Russian icons, the Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and modernism in Imperial and Soviet Russia.
