Gainsborough and Corot: Different Approaches to Light and Shadow

Explore Thomas Gainsborough's A Peasant Smoking at a Cottage Door and Jean-Baptiste-Camille-Corot's View of Volterra in this 90-minute drawing workshop led by artist Elizabeth Washburn. Participants will be introduced to the varying approaches these two artists used to convey their narratives through the use of light and create an artwork of their own. Artist demonstration and individual attention is provided. All skill levels are welcome. Just bring your own drawing pads and pencils.
