Offered daily, free docent-led tours explore highlights of the Timken's permanent collection and special exhibitions. Tours are offered:
Tuesday—Friday: 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sundays: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Tours may be half hour to one hour long. An instructor must accompany college classes and K-12 classes must include one chaperone per 10 children.
Foreign Language Tours
Free docent-led tours of the Timken’s permanent collection and special exhibitions are offered in Spanish, German, Dutch and Russian. Please note that foreign language tours are by special appointment only and are subject to availability.
Sign Language Interpreted Tours
The Timken offers free sign interpreted tours of the permanent collection and special exhibitions for the deaf and hard of hearing community. These 45-minute tours are led by a museum docent who is accompanied by a sign language interpreter for the deaf. Please note that sign interpreted tours are offered by appointment only and that four weeks notice are required. This program is taking place in partnership with Network Interpreting Service (NIS).
