Kathleen Lundgren

Kathleen is a bioethicist, having earned her Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.Ethics) from Yale University with concentrations in Medical Ethics and the History of Psychological & Social Development. Kathleen taught bioethics at Yale, and as a clinical pediatric ethicist at Yale Children's Hospital consulted and wrote policy. She has dedicated most of her professional life to bioethics and health policy serving on the Yale School of Medicine Human Investigation Committee (Yale's IRB) and the Advisory Board of Yale School of Medicine Humanities in Medicine for over a decade and as an original and long-time member of Bioethics at Yale. She wrote and edited The Yale Guide to Careers in Medicine and the Health Sciences (2003). She remains a member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities. Kathleen and her husband, Ken, retired to La Jolla where Kathleen is a member of the Woman's Club, the Village Garden Club of La Jolla, and the Wednesday Club of San Diego. In 2023, Kathleen joined the Board of Directors of the Kraemer Endowment Foundation which provides support for St. Madeleine Sophie's Center.
