Join us for an engaging conversation with Timken Director of Curatorial Affairs, Derrick Cartwright, Ph.D. and Balboa Art Conservation Center Painting Conservators Alexis Miller and Bianca Garcia as they discuss the Timken's extensive onsite conservation of François Boucher's Lovers in a Park - the Museum's first interactive conservation in public view. The innovative project is a collaboration between the Timken and Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC), and Cartwright, Miller and Garcia will discuss how this project came into being and offer a glimpse into the technical processes of a conservator working on the beloved painting as well as background on its history and artistic virtues.
