Join us with San Diego Model Railroad Museum on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝟱 𝗽𝗺, for an online lecture with Lynne Thompson, our ornament specialist and personal friend of artisan Elizabeth Schlappi.
Thompson will discuss Jewel's artisans Florence Hord and Elizabeth Schlappi, the history of the ornaments, the designs and materials collected from around the world, how she came to inherit the Jewels and ultimately donate them to the Timken. Don't miss this fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the "Jewels of the Season", one of San Diego's most dazzling holiday traditions.
