For people with memory disorders and their care partners

Trained Museum docents provide interactive tours to participants with memory disorders and their care partners. This program is carefully designed to provide meaningful engagement with art to facilitate socialization, stimulate visual and verbal abilities, and to spark memory. Tours are free of charge but pre-registration is required. Please call (858) 822-4800 to register for a tour.

Memories at the Museums is taking place in partnership with the Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the Alzheimer's Association. The program takes place every Tuesday of every month alternating between the four co-sponsoring museums that are all located in central Balboa Park: Museum of Photographic Arts, Mingei International Museum, San Diego Museum of Art, and the Timken Museum of Art.
