Experience the artistic spirit of fin-de-siècle Paris in Birth of Impressionism: The Life, Times and Music of Claude Debussy, an evening in the Timken’s Music & Masters series. Join the Ventura Music Festival’s artistic director and violinist Nuvi Mehta in the Museum’s James A. Lester Gallery for an engaging conversation on Debussy’s life and artistic circle, followed by a  performance with classical pianist Jessie Chang, exploring how Debussy’s revolutionary sound paralleled the bold innovations of the Impressionist painters.
