Promoting Empathy and Mindfulness through Art
Join us for a FREE professional development opportunity focused on promoting empathy and mindfulnes through art. Attendees will have the chance to network over wine and light appetizers, participate in gallery sessions designed to foster empathy, and explore a lesson plan aimed at encouraging mindfulness through art. The Museum's new exhibition Modeling for the Masses: Sculptural Ideals in 19th-Century America will be open for viewing and Title 1 school educators will be able to apply to have a Timken teaching artist visit their classroom to facilitate a free art class. All attending Title 1 school teachers will receive free bus transportation to the Timken for their classrooms.
