Promoting Equity & Diversity in the Classroom through Art
Join us for a FREE professional development program that will bring educators together, facilitate open dialogue, and elevate the voices and stories of marginalized groups to promote greater understanding. Participants will be shown approaches to exploring works of art from multiple viewpoints and learn new ways to promote equity and diversity in the classroom, while discovering many possible interpretations of an artwork.
All attendees will have a chance to network over wine and light appetizers, explore works in the Timken collection, including Kehinde Wiley's Equestrian Portrait of Prince Tommaso of Savoy-Carignan (on loan from a private collection through May 2024), and receive free bus transportation to the Timken for their classrooms.
This event is FREE but RSVP below to save your spot.
