Visitors to the Timken Museum of Art hold fond memories of the wonderful masterpieces they’ve seen. In this tour, we’ll examine some of these works and have the opportunity to build our own memories by taking a look at what inspired the artists and how they were influenced by their time and place.

This virtual talk is taking place in conjunction with the Timken's 'Memories at the Museums' program which is hosted by the Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The program offers monthly tours that engage people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s or a related disorder, and an accompanying family member or friend, in discussions about artworks to stimulate visual and verbal abilities and to spark memory. These monthly tours alternate between the Timken, Museum of Photographic Arts, Mingei International Museum, and the San Diego Museum of Art.
